Cleaning Tips

Getting the Most Out of Your OFC:

Cloth Diapers and Baby Clothes: OFC Laundry Soap is perfect for your baby items! It is a safe and effective way to wash your cloth diapers and baby clothes. It won’t irritate sensitive skin because it is free from additives and fillers.

Lawn Furniture, Porches & Patios: Mix 1/2 cup of OFC All Purpose Cleaner in a bucket of water and scrub. OFC will remove the dirt and grime that collects on your outdoor spaces.

Woodwork and Cabinets: Mix 1/4 cup of OFC All Purpose Cleaner with water in a spray bottle and use on cabinets and woodwork to remove cooking oil residue and leave your kitchen clean and fresh.

Toilets, Sinks & Bathtubs: Use OFC All Purpose Cleaner to make toilets and bathtubs sparkling clean and fresh.

Tile and Wood Floors: Use OFC Laundry Soap in your carpet shampooer to clean carpet and add 1/8 cup to your mop water for squeaky-clean floors all over your house.

Smokers: OFC All Purpose Cleaner will remove nicotine residue from woodwork around your house.

Other Helpful Tips:

We've gotten a lot of questions about stain removers and bleach alternatives. We've done some research and found one product that does both! Chances are, you already have it around the house: hydrogen peroxide!

Stain Remover: Pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide onto the stain, let it sit for a minute, rub it in, then wash. This works best for organic stains such as food, wine, and blood. For blood stains, pour hydrogen peroxide directly onto the spot, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse in cold water (hot water will set a blood stain). Repeat as necessary.

Bleach Alternative: Pour 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide in a load of whites in your washing machine.

Natural Fabric Softener: Pour 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar into your rinse cycle. White distilled vinegar prevents yellowing, acts as a fabric softener, and reduces static cling. The acid in white distilled vinegar is too mild to harm fabrics; and, it will not leave a scent on your wash.
